Learn about women's rights issue.

Connect with like-minded celebrities and other users.
-
Encourage advocacy among their network by sharing.
-
Get involved and take action with your favourite artist.
-
OUR PROCESS

DEFINE
Since this is a 2 days project, we do not have enough time to conduct user research, therefore we have interviewed each other and created a persona that combines our characteristics.
Let me introduce you to NINI, a 20 years old young adult who is highly interested in a Kpop band called BlackPink.

IDEATE

After knowing our target users' goals, we brainstormed ideas and created a task flows based on the ideas.

-PROTOTYPE-
1. Personalized homepage and music recommendation:

Upon sign-in, users can upload a profile picture, select their favourite artist, music genre and the women's rights issue that they are interested in.

This information will be used to generate content tailoring to the users' interests.
-Main Features-
2. Connect with like-minded celebrities and others:

Users can connect with their favourite celebrities and other fans and gain a sense of community.
Specifically, Users can share their instant thoughts via live comments or share their own stories on the text-comment pages.

They can also share lyric posters with empowering quotes on social media.

3. Learn about women's rights issue:

We present world-class artists renowned for their women-power-implicated musical works, allowing users to sort songs by artists or their representative women's rights-related topics.
4. Take Action with your favourite artists

Lastly, users can navigate to a specific social issue concerning women’s rights after listening to a song and supporting women by “Taking Action.”
Interestingly, users can choose either to take action on behalf of their favourite artists or themselves, encouraging user’s supporting behaviours to the greatest extent.

Users will also be rewarded with "Women Power" for every involvement. The women's power can be used to redeem concert and fan meeting tickets. Users who have taken action will also be presented on the leaderboard.

BRANDING
After having a general idea of what our app is going to present, we brainstormed the name of our app: QUATZ - Quote Ur Attitude to Zillions of Women.
The product name was inspired by quartz, a mineral that shines.

We then defined the colour palette and typography style that matches our product name and provides consistency despite our different design styles.

We want to evoke a feeling of power and elegance. We want our users to be empowered when interacting with our app,
knowing that they can also shine like the quartz.
That is why we chose pink as the primary colour with brown as the accent.
Pink represents the shinning spirit while brown represents the solid foundation that users build to support one another. We also adjusted the brown, adding a pink undertone to it so that it appears more harmonious with the pink.
